Big Bend features over 150 miles of hiking trails through the desert, mountain, and river landscape. For an easy yet beautiful hike that you can do with kids, we recommend the Window Trail (5.6 miles round trip). If you're looking for a long and rewarding hike, try Emory Peak, the 10.5 mile hike that will take you to the highest point of the park.
A must for beautiful views of the Chihuahuan Desert. Stop at the viewpoints and complete short trails along the way or simply enjoy a long and breathtaking drive along the mountain.
While near Big Bend, don't forget to drive or hike to the Rio Grande River to see the beautiful bend that gives the park its name! Try a river canoe trip or take a quick swim at Santa Elena Canyon
